Gaël has more than 15 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological industry which he gained through a vast panel of positions with increasing responsibilities. He went from bench to company management positions in large (GlaxoSmithKline), midsize (Merck KGaA) and small startup, private and listed companies (Relief Therapeutics SA). He was the founder of this latter which was incorporated to resume the development of a clinical-stage asset (originally developed by Serono International), and he heavily participated in the company listing on the Swiss SIX stock exchange and ended up managing the listed group. He is now delivering consultancy on different aspects of the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological industry ranging from scientific evaluation, program development and management, company incorporation, management and fundraising.
Gaël graduated in Neuroscience from the University of Strasbourg, France in 1997 and obtained his Ph.D. in Natural Sciences with specialty in Neurosciences and Neuropharmacology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland. He completed his initial training by continuous education in negotiation, management, administration and finances.
