Head of Advisory, Energy Estate
Christian has more than 15 years of experience in the international export and project finance market. He started his career in Norddeutsche Landesbank (NORD/LB) with power and resource related financing in Europe, the Middle East and Russia. In 2007 he changed to NORD/LB’s infrastructure team financing social infrastructure projects in Germany and the UK. After two stints into building up and leading a team advising on liquidity and funding aspects following the global financial crisis and (ii) heading NORD/LB’s derivative team for shipping and aircraft, he returned to project finance in 2014 taking over the responsibility of NORD/LB’s Asia Pacific PF activities. During these years his team has established a platform for financing mostly renewable energy related assets in countries such as Japan, Australia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, and Mongolia.
As of 2019 he took joined Energy Estate as Head of Advisory with the mission to accelerate the transformation of the Australian energy sector focusing on renewable energy.
Christian is married with three children, holds a degree in economics and speaks English, German and Russian.
